The Blakehay isn’t just a theatre, it’s a home for people, ideas, and local pride.

We believe in culture that belongs to everyone. That’s why our stage is open not only to artists and touring companies, but to schools, youth groups, care homes, community choirs, grassroots festivals, and anyone with something to say and a story to share.
 

Our doors are open wider than ever. From theatre weeks for kids to matinee clubs for older audiences, from group therapy in our studio to local storytelling projects in our foyer, we’re working every day to make sure everyone feels welcome, seen, and part of something bigger.
