A rebellious artist who resists formula, Katey Brooks is an award-winning singer, songwriter and producer with a powerful voice and a sound that blends Americana, folk and soul with real warmth and honesty.
Her music has earned radio play from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and Canada’s CBC, and she has toured across the UK, Europe, the US, Canada and Australia. Along the way, she has shared bills with artists including Cat Burns, Nick Mulvey, Newton Faulkner and Yola, and appeared at major festivals including Glastonbury, WOMAD, the Paralympics, the Australian National Folk Festival and several BBC Introducing stages.
Katey’s acclaimed album Revolute was described by Popdust as “one of the best albums of the year”, with singles premiered by Billboard, Pride Magazine and Gay Times. Her vocals have also featured on records with Brian May, Bill Wyman, Nick Mason and Paloma Faith, while her music has appeared in the West End, on TV and in film.
After a brief flirt with the dance world in 2024–25, Katey is back to her Americana and singer-songwriter roots, with new shows, exciting collaborations and a new acoustic record on the way.
