About the event
Los Pacaminos – Live at The Blakehay
Sometimes the best things happen by happy accident.
Last year Paul Young and Jamie Moses visited The Blakehay on Paul’s tour… and somewhere between leaving the building and now, Jamie got gently hoodwinked into becoming a patron of the theatre. We’re still not entirely sure how we managed that, but we’re super grateful we did.
Now, we’re even luckier. Los Pacaminos are coming to The Blakehay.
If you know the band, you’ll know this is something special. Los Pacaminos normally play much larger venues across the UK, so having them here, in our intimate little theatre, is a rare treat indeed. We can’t thank Paul, Jamie and the band enough for backing what we’re building at The Blakehay and bringing this show to Weston-super-Mare.
Expect a night of Tex-Mex grooves, Americana soul, soaring harmonies, sizzling guitar, pedal steel, accordion and a whole lot of joy. This is live music with warmth, swagger and heart — the kind of gig where the band and audience feel like they’re in it together.
About Los Pacaminos
Los Pacaminos were formed in 1992, born from Paul Young’s love of Tex-Mex and roots music. What began as a side project with friends quickly grew into a band in its own right — instantly recognisable by their trademark stetsons and their fiercely loyal following.
Over three decades later, Los Pacaminos have built an unmatched live reputation, released multiple acclaimed studio and live albums, and continue to explore the music of the American Southwest — drawing inspiration from Doug Sahm, Flaco Jimenez, Ry Cooder, Roy Orbison, The Band and beyond.
The current seven-piece line-up features Paul Young and Jamie Moses alongside an exceptional band of musicians, delivering tight, joyful performances that have made Los Pacaminos a festival favourite and a headline act across the UK.
In short:
A rare chance to see a legendary live band in an intimate venue.
A celebration of roots, rhythm and friendship.
And a very special night at The Blakehay.
